Nice to see a Spoonbill at Titchfield Haven this morning perhaps one from the group of 12 I saw at Pennington Marshes a few weeks ago blown of course in last night’s storm.

The King of the fishermen? I spent a few hours this morning watching this female Kingfisher. The female bird is identified by her orange lower mandible. She was feeding on many small Sticklebacks.
Winter Stonechats.
Stonechats at Titchfield Haven this morning the colours are now muted as winter is here.

At last!
All year I have seen distant glimpses of blue or orange of a Kingfisher flyby on my many walks with the odd picture. However, today, this bird did us proud and perched to fish near where I could watch her fairly closely.
Mr &Mrs Shoveler.
The northern shoveler, known simply in the UK as the shoveler, they are a common and widespread duck. A male and female duck wet morning at Tichfield Haven yesterday.
