I revisited Southampton City yesterday to see more of the “Light the South art trail”. A public art event consisting of 40 painted lighthouse sculptures each standing 8ft tall. {there will be a further 30 mini lighthouses.} The art trail is to raise funds for Southampton Hospital Charity.
Below is the link to my post of my 1st visit.

Some different lighthouses seen yesterday.

Below 5 of the mini-lighthouses.

While walking around I took some general views of the town centre.
Civic Centre.

Very nice where you live Andy. I like the lighthouse in the yellow slicker best!

Thanks for the link Andy. This looks like a lot of fun. I can’t think of anything like that we do around here, except for the scarecrow contest, which you pay $25.00 (19.41 GBP) for a wooden form, then decorate with clothing. All the proceeds go to the Botanical Gardens. There were a lot of artists that participated. You should participate some time … get some stencils of birds and paint the background blue (sky) and green (marsh).
