Beachy Head Lighthouse is located below the cliffs of Beachy Head in East Sussex it stands 141ft high and became operational in October 1902. It was the last traditional-style rock tower offshore lighthouse built by Trinity House.

I think only at extreme low tides and given how far from a beach access point a dangerous risky walk.

I’ve only toured one lighthouse – very unique experience for me. I have a friend and her/husband were going to as many lighthouses as possible. She had a severe stroke last year, so it will be a while before resuming that schedule.

We have some great lighthouses in the UK we visit as many as we can. They are often in good locations. Sad for your friend hope she can get back to visiting lighthouses soon.

That’s good they keep them maintained so well. She is doing so much better Andy – she almost died last April. Just 65 year old.
She has since learned how to walk again and recently got tested and approved to drive, but has hand controls on her steering wheel as she lost some feeling in her one hand. My friend and her husband visited/stayed at a lighthouse in Ireland a few years ago. I think it was a week-long vacation for them. They had a great time.
