We have one at Humbug Marsh according to some photographers who showed me its tree it usually perches. I’ll have to enjoy your shots until I see it in person. 🙂
I had to Google when those photographers said it was unique to see. They must go at different times than me as I’ve not seen it, nor the pair of Wood Ducks at that same venue … I usually only see Egrets and Great Blue Herons. In the video and pics, your Kestrel is looking down. Guess it saw a food source.

I think the American Kestrel colours differ from ours but I google to check – differ but not by much.

I love to see kestrels. Their hovering is otherworldly.
