A good number of Wigeon are on-site at Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve at the moment. They are medium-sized dabbling ducks. In the UK they breed in central and northern Scotland. Many birds over winter here these come from Iceland, Scandinavia, and Russia.

The pop of yellow on their head really brighten ups the day.

Even though the landscape is brown, they still are very noticeable, especially with the head (for both male and female).

I know it – that’s why I always write my comment first so if my like doesn’t work, then at least the comment is there. I have issues with that all the time!
