There is a local pond with clumps of frog spawn. When you stay still for a while, you can spot eyes looking at you. Common frogs have found their place in the pond to mate.

I think the jelly acts as a barrier but I have seen seen photos of bits of spawn in trees so I guess some gets eaten

Amazing! We saw frog spawns too a few years ago, and they were mesmerizing to see. It was our first time seeing them and didn’t even know what they were until we got close up.
