No screech this take off. They always amaze me how they have the power in their legs and wings just to off and fly. Unlike swans and geese who take such a run to get up.
That’s amazing in itself, watching them take off and so graceful in flight. The screech is usually so loud, like it is angry you appeared on the scene.

They have quite the wingspan for such a scrawny bird. He didn’t screech as he flew away like some of ours do, a loud indignant screech.
