That’s what I thought about the deer I saw. People have told me they are strong swimmers, just their head about the water when they cross the channel near Dingell Park and Mud Island, an uninhabited island where they live (though I have never seen them as it is heavily wooded).

I saw a deer swimming in the marsh last year … the water provides cooling off and those nice green reeds.
