A relative asked why I so rarely visited. It’s because there was a tree overhanging his house that attracted hundreds of Starlings. I cannot even begin to describe the noise level. To this day, my ears are still ringing.
I thought it very odd that he could tolerate the disturbance. The birds were always there. He said that he loved the house so much that he learned to live with the noise. Plus, potential buyers were immediately turned off by the commotion.
Why he never thought to cut the tree down, I’ll never know.

I know where they roost the number are very large and I can see how they would make a lot of noise !

Starlings numbers dropped off her a few years ago but are now making a come back although on our RED list.
