Hi Wayne, Buzzards in the UK are opportunistic predators with a diverse diet. They primarily eat small mammals like voles, mice, and you rabbits, but also consume carrion, birds, and even earthworms. Their flexible diet allows them to thrive in various habitats. I think a healthy Hare would be unlikely.
Those hares are huge, especially those long hind legs to spring into action. Your vultures are nicer looking than ours. Our Turkey Vultures have tiny red heads and over-large bodies, but they take care of the carrion that is around from careless drivers especially, so that is a good thing.
Would that Buzzard go after that Hare Andy?

Road kill is a big part of their diet here.

Well, no wonder that bird was so much larger than our scrawny-looking Turkey Vultures then.
