After nice bright weather for a couple of weeks, we had a wet, grey day today, and the forecast says it is with us until early next week. On the positive my water butts in the garden are now full of water.
So, pictures today from Titchfield Haven are more like pictures from a winter’s day. Not very nice under sail in the Solent.

Grey Heron.

Little Egret.

fledgling Reed Warbler.

They still look pretty light in these photos. We had a rainy, drizzly day and have some haze from the Canadian wildfire smoke.

This weather is not what I hoped for in my retirement years when I finally had the opportunity to go out any day of the week, not just relegated to weekends. We have rain more days than not and today Detroit was the worst city in the NATION for particulate matter from the Canadian wildfires.
