when I first started taking pictures of eagles in flight,I trained for years on Gulls.

Practice is important. I practise on light aircraft when no birds are about. Winter here is a good time trying to photograph small wadder flights around the spit.

because I get close to my eagle friends, trying to track them is very hard! If they were a hundred feet away, no problem but not when It’s ten feet.
