A visit to Warsash this morning for a walk on a bright frosty morning. On the quay is a memorial to D-Day Combined operations.

In front of the memorial a pair of pigeons battled – or it may have mating but it looked more like war than love to me – feathers were shed.

Wow that is a royal battle with those pigeons. I guess sometimes Love hurts. Ha I remember hearing of the Normandy D-Day battle. my whole life. So many men lost from several countries including UK and US.

All along our coast in ports and rivers – craft waited to take their turn back in June 44 to cross to France.

Love the pigeon photos, especially those showing their wings extended with the sunlight hitting.
