An apple core snatch and grab. Sometimes the temptation of getting close to a human for a tasty bit of food overcomes any fear. This Grey Squirrel was showing an interest in my apple while I was sitting on our van step. When I had finished eating it I dropped it on the grass within seconds he was on it.

Oh I enjoyed this Andy – how often I see this too. The lure of a treat erases all inhibition. Those Eastern Fox Squirrels are so cute – don’t tell Parker, my Fox Squirrel I said that.

I did Andy – my absolute favorite critters. 🙂 Today, I returned to Lake Erie Metropark hoping to see the doe with a fawn or two. Didn’t find them, but saw a doe in the middle of the Water Lotus bed munching away happily. Lots of pictures – she didn’t care. There is a fine for picking the blooms and/or the dried seed pods.
