Marsh Frogs are Europe’s largest frogs they are not naturally found in the UK. They were introduced to Romney Marsh in Kent in the 1930s and they have spread throughout the southeast. There are colonies in the New Forest.

Great close-ups Andy. So, how’d you get the frog to smile in the first photo? And the last photo “frog in the frogbit” … do you call it frogbit in the UK too? I think it originated in the UK (I took an interpretive weed walk onetime at the Park).

That smile was great Andy! I think they call it “duck weed” here too. I was going by what the guide said – we viewed all kinds of invasive plants on that walk, some which were aquatic plants.
