Today I got a closer view of a Cuckoo while walking in the New Forest.

Below is a link to the Cuckoo post of the bird I saw last week.
One in-flight – I missed myself photographed by my brother Simon.

I’m amazed how they can alter their eggs to match the host’s eggs.

I know a very interesting bird. Also seen it said they look like a Sparrow Hawk which frightens the nesting bird off their nest who they the watch return to find the host nest.

fascinating!
They should call it a TB……Trump bird.
Not what it appears and constantly putting it’s responsibilities onto others!

That’s a nice in-flight shot. What kind of camera does your brother use?

They are bigger that I expected but maybe I’m thinking of the little bird that pops out of the clock?

Me too Andy. A fellow blogger is German and I mentioned cuckoo clocks to her once and asked if she had one and she said “even Germans don’t have cuckoo clocks in their homes – they sell them for the tourists to buy them and take home as authentic German cuckoo clocks.”
